• RFID Project of Department of Commerce
• The Department of Commerce appointed Trade-Van in 1996 the implementation of “RFID Value-added Applications Demonstration” Project. The project tasks include RFID standardization, platforms sharing and integrated value-added services implementation references. Trade-Van have demonstrated RFID technology capabilities and delivered several demonstrations of RFID operations and applications.

• Sick and Dead Pigs Tracing Pilot Project
• In light of the increased emphasis on food safety that require dramatic changes in the way national and international feed/ food companies operate, The Council of Agriculture appointed Trade-Van in 1995 the implementation of “RFID Application of RFID in Production/Marketing/Management Value-added Chain and Sick and Dead Pigs Tracing Pilot” project. The project was successfully completed in November of 1996. The project integrated Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified institutions, to develop a better understanding of the cause of the sick pigs and track them accordingly, this has great effect on food safety and its improvements.
